Saturday Rites

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Estella Flynn, 86, of Maquoketa were held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Haylock-O’Hara funeral home. The Rev. Arthur Holtry, pastor of the First Methodist church, officiated. Burial was in the Esgate cemetery. Mrs. Flynn died Wednesday evening in a local nursing home.

 

Estella Eastman was born July 12, 1879, in Jackson county to Charles and Charity (Welch) Eastman. On Dec. 1, 1898, she was married to Dennis Flynn in Maquoketa. She lived her entire life in Maquoketa.

 

Surviving are one son, Milford Flynn of Baldwin; and one brother, Frank Eastman of Greenwich, Ohio.

 

Her parents, her husband, six sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
